The Power of Gratitude

Did you know that you can rewire your brain to happiness, fulfilment and joy in just 21 days? Think it sounds too good to be true? Read on to find out why this is probably the best thing that you could ever do for yourself and others around you…

All you need to do is consciously practice GRATITUDE.

Why?

Gratitude is the most simplest and most effective way of channelling your brain to happiness. It makes you happier, it lowers your stress levels and allows you to be present, in the here and the now. We can all say easy that we’re grateful everyday but when you take it a step further and start to identify every little bit of your life that you’re grateful for, your attitude, your life, your wellbeing, your mental health will all dramatically improve.

When we are going through tough stages in our life, it’s harder to practice gratitude because in that moment you can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel or you feel stuck in your situation. But forcing yourself to be grateful for everything in your life, including the not so great times has such a positive lasting impact and within minutes you’ll feel happier again. Even through the not so great times, you are learning from those experiences so that you can apply the lessons in the now and in the future.

“Be thankful for what you have; you’ll end up having more.

If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never, ever

have enough.”

Every morning, I write in gratitude journal with my favourite pen and I write down 3-5 things that I am grateful for. For example, in my gratitude journal this morning I wrote down these 3 things I am currently grateful for in my life:

1. I am thankful for a waking early this morning and feeling great.
2. I am thankful for it being the weekend so that I can have my self care weekend I have planned for.
3. I am thankful for the business ideas I am currently working on.

I do this within 30 minutes of me waking up so that my thoughts are rewired in a positive thought process which energises me for the day ahead. As I go about my day, I am making it habit to say ‘thank you’ throughout the day as this helps to boost your happy hormones and give you even more energy. In the evening, I then answer the prompts given to me in the same gratitude journal – they are different every day and I love that part of writing in my gratitude journal as I get to really think about my day and what I have really enjoyed about my day. So tonight I will be writing down Things From Today I Would Like To Do Again Tomorrow. The reason why it’s super important to show gratitude before you go to bed is so that you will wake up in the morning with a positive mindset. Otherwise, we humans tend to go to bed in a negative state and think about all the not so great things that are happening in our lives.

Remember, like attracts like so what you put your energy into is what you’re attracting more of into your life, think of yourself like a magnet and it will make sense. Practice good thoughts and gratitude and expect more of that. Practice negativity or keep saying to yourself that life is crap and expect more of the same.

A Little Story Of Mine

I first started consciously practicing gratitude about 2 years ago and it was such a huge benefit to my life, but I admit I haven’t always been religious with it. There have been weeks and months that have gone by where I have not consciously practiced any gratitude and that’s when my vibration and my negative state came into play. However, I’ve now been doing it continuously for the past month and I feel completely transformed.

About 3 weeks ago, I was in such a negative state, I was crying all the time, and the breakup that I had 4 months ago had just hit me – I continued to ignore and block it out until something happened to make it hit me again. For about a week, I was confused, I was exhausted emotionally, I couldn’t stop thinking, my anxiety returned and I felt that there was no hope for me. I didn’t immediately think I need to practice gratitude to get my thoughts and life back on track and I hated feeling this way. I started to look at the positives and that everything happens for a reason. Anyway, fast forward to when I watched ‘The Secret’ movie by Rhonda Byrnes for the second time, it hit me, practicing gratitude is the key thing to transform your life. I knew this is the way to take back my power, focus on what I want more of and not to think or not to put in any energy into what I don’t want. Again, like attracts like.

Since then, I’ve been practicing gratitude consciously and my whole world, my outlook, my wellbeing and my perspective on life has completely changed – I couldn’t be happier. Who wants to live in a constant state of negativity?! Not me, thank you very much. Now, when I look back to that moment (blip) in my life, I knew it was for my own good, I knew from that moment on my new life starts and I will be creating the life of my dreams.

Along with actively practicing the Law of Attraction, my life is transforming to something amazing. I can feel it. All week, I’ve been getting so many business ideas jumping into my head at random times of the day, seeing number sequences (actually, I’ve been seeing these for months now, 1111, 333 and 555 – these are the main ones I see on a daily basis), having more energy to do my workouts, feeling happy to be alive and just feeling blessed.
When you start to consciously write down what you’re grateful for, you’ll be amazed that there is so much in life to be thankful for, so much. Why focus on the negative side of life when you can create the life of your dreams by having an attitude of gratitude. Start today! Trust me, you will not regret it. This is the most powerful, most life changing activity and the most beautiful gift you could ever give yourself.

✨ Practice for 21 days to make it a habit, you will transform your life ✨
